IS it true that since we call ourselves a peaceful nation,we don't react to anything at all, we have been taunted big time by our neighbors ever since independence, before independence it was totally a different ball game, we were slaves for more than 100 years. Is it in our indian gene to be so tolerable or is it our lack of patriotism? or is it our lethargic attitude?

we let a foreign national company set up its factory, don't bother inspecting their security systems, then it takes away more than 15,000 lives in one night and thousands still suffer the aftermath of that gory night. Rajkumar kesawani foresaw this catastrophe two years before the gas leak and wrote "bhopal is on the edge of a volcano" in a local magazine called rapat. he even posted a letter to the highest officals, nobody gave heed to it including our usual people who reacts to nothing unless something happens in there own life.
25 years later a judgement is given which as left us wondering IS THIS ALL we can do? IS THIS ALL our nation can do? SHAME ON US. Well... when the americans were hit, they went on war and have brought down a nation to its dark age. and we have lost so many people amidst their celebrations and all we did was just talk for a while on the media and me still blogging but could do nothing, why the voices of those dead souls are not heard? may be a celebrity should have died among those 15,000. May be that would have made the channels show more interest on the case like the jessica lal murder. Bravo... i felt very happy when justice was served and that too because of the media's persistence in getting justice in that case. why everything and everybody has gone quiet about those people in bhopal, does that mean JUSTICE is not for the poor. should we all just keep quiet as usual as we always do?? or should the media and all the powerful people should take this as an insult to the whole of INDIA and do something about it??? if the americans think OSAMA is there most wanted so is WARREN ANDERSON for us(well statistically he has taken more lives)

ReplyDeleteIts a chaos out there!! like you've said clearly we don't react to it until it happens to us or until we are directly affected!! the problem is in our roots.. this cannot be solved until something happens like in AFRICA.. i saw a film called LAW ABIDING CITIZEN.. and i wish i can do something like dat here!!!!
ReplyDeletewhen this case was published, many people reacted with so much hatred and fury in their heart. One day this fury will unite us all. Don't know when, but i can just feel it. God help the world when that happens. Arise India!
